i don't think i have officially typed this so i guess i'll go ahead and do it
we are trying and hoping for a natural birth
by that i mean unmedicated with minimal or no interventions
people have asked us why and said we are crazy
and that is to our face (or over the phone)
so who knows what has been said when we are not around
we don't think that using medication is wrong
we simply feel like this is the best path for our family
we will be in the hospital
we will have nurses and doctors monitoring both me and the baby
we will have access to any and every medical necessity out there
we are not walking into this blindly
we have both read a lot on the subject
we have attended 10 weeks of birthing class and still have two more
we went on the hospital tour
we have asked lots of questions of the doctors and our friends who have taken the same classes
at the end of the day our goal is to have a happy and healthy mom and baby
just because we have done all this planning and reading
doesn't mean it will all go as we hope
we recognize this and are ok with this
one thing i really do not want is to be induced
i want Crash to come when he is good and ready
our current due date is Friday, January 11
the average gestation period is 41 weeks and 1 day
based on this i'm saying Crash will come on Saturday, January 19
if he hasn't made his appearance by January 25 i will be induced
i'm praying we don't get to this point because Mamajosey needs to be in TX
for sweet ella jane's first birthday party that weekend
i think that is more than enough birth talk for tonight
