We're back at it

The whole having a baby thing slowed us down, but we are ready to return to the land of diy. We needed to take care off a couple of things around here. For example, replace our stairs that were about to fall in. No one wants to end up falling into the laundry room while walking down the stairs. It's one thing to have a built-in laundry shoot and another to have one open up like a sink hole. Thankfully we caught the problem and hired out some help after a fruitless weekend of trying to fix the stairs on our own. Lesson learned.

We still have lots of trim work and paint/poly that needs to go down, but we can safely get up to our bedrooms and for that we are thankful. They are not to shabby to look at either! Working on this project reminded us how much fun it is to have something new in the house. It makes you love it all over again. It's our own little version of a Rocky Mountain high, maybe?

I also did a tiny bit of curb appeal this weekend. It still needs a little sand and second coat but here is a sneak peek.
