Belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I can't believe that Christmas has come and gone
and that tomorrow is the last day of 2011.
Where has the year gone?
Here are some of the highlights:

January - We celebrated the New Year with both sets of our parent's and Reagan. They were all at our house for the evening and we watched the crazy acts on TV. Our parents are still confused about who Ke$ha is and why she was cool enough for the NYE special.

February - Our crawl space flooded. Craig and Mike (Craig's dad) spent hours removing the 2 inches of water that covered a space that is half of our house, pulling up the liner, temporarily fixing the busted pipe, etc. We had to rent big fans and put them down there to try and dry it up. It was not costly financially but if I remember correctly the men were pretty sore after the hours of work the clean up required.

March - Craig spent an entire night hugging the toliet while he faced death. Maybe I am being dramatic, but probably not. Once he recovered he discovered just how amazing ("they" say this word was overused in 2011 and people should stop saying it) Blue Bell Ice Cream really is.

April - I celebrated my one year anniversary as Sales and Event Coordinator. Stepping down from management and moving back into an hourly position was absolutely one of the best decisions I have every made. We are so thankful that God provided this opportunity for our family.

May - Craig and I made the trek to Texas for a week with family and friends. Believe it or not I had not been there in a year and it was over a year for Craig. We had a 30th bithday bash for the 3 cousins (Nicole, Tina and me) at my parents house. It was fun to spend time with family and relax at mom and dad's new house with the resort backyard! We also got to see Amy and her family at cousin Ashley's wedding.

June - We celebrated my 30th birthday in our backyard. Craig was so sweet to throw a little fiesta in my honor. Brooke got married on a cute farm and mom was here to help host the bridal luncheon and help Craig and some others set up the reception.

July - Mom and Dad drove up to CO with the rest of our wedding gifts (yes, it only took us 2 1/2 years to get them up here). We spent about a week with them before they hit the road and continued their roadtrip to Arizona. Kyle and Caroline announced to the world that they will be mom and dad come February 2012. The entire family is super excited and can't wait to meet her.

August - We got the house painted! The pink/peachy color is gone and the entire neighborhood let out a collective cheer. It is now a nice neurtral grayish/tan that is pleasent to look at once again.

September - Mom and Nanny came for a visit. We had a great time with them and ate lots of yummy food!

October - Jonathan and Marcia became proud owners of the hot tub that used to live in our backyard. Once the yard was somewhat cleared we went to town on making our deck a little smaller. We took down the upper level to give us more yard space and less monster deck. We are pleased with our work thus far. There was a CRAZY snow storm and we lost lots of tree branches. Our front tree is not supposed to look like this...

November - I flew to Texas to throw a baby shower for Caroline. Nanny hosted at her house and mom helped me get everything ready ahead of time. Aunt Gayle helped with all the setup and breakdown. It couldn't have come together without their assistance. Cody and Brittany came to CO for Thanksgiving. We loved having them in town and Craig and I both agree it was our favorite visit with them yet!

December - The Reynolds family was able to spend Christmas together in Texas. It was fun until we all decided to share a cold. Still recovering!

There were some definite lowlights in 2011
and I'm thankful for a fresh start in 2012.
We can't wait to see what God has in store for us in the year ahead!
