this weekend was dedicated to work.
we had a few goals to accomplish:
1) finish sanding the bathroom walls
2) re-mud/sand (if needed)
3) texture the bathroom walls
4) paint the bathroom walls
5) clear out/clean garage
when craig first announced what all he wanted to do i had no words. i simply laughed. who got the laugh in the end you ask? he did. we got it all done!
of course it meant our list was all we did saturday and sunday. we had to decline some fun invitations to hang out with friends. i'm tired. i'm ready to get in bed, but the sheets are still in the dryer. on that note, i also worked on some organization in the laundry room. the iron and ironing board now have a home on the back of the door. the drying rack has a place to hang on the wall when not in use. the mop and broom have a place to hang on the wall as well. i need craig to hang that still, but he had his hands full with the bathroom.
the bathroom is looking great. we do have some touch ups to do on the texture and then we need to throw up a final coat of paint. after that we will get to start putting the bathroom back together. i need to finish the vanity. we need to get a counter top, sink, and hardware. we need a new fan (hopefully one with a light!) and a light fixture for over the sink. i'm sure there a other things i'm not thinking of right now, oh, a mirror.
all that to say we are getting closer. i can see a bath at the end of the tunnel!
