if you have ever watched hgtv and thought,
"are those people for real?"
"did they really try to do that?"
"are they crazy?"
well, you should have been at our house tonight.
we have put in ALOT of hours over the past week to get our bathroom ready for the tile to go in.
after a full weekend of work and the past two nights we are pretty much ready...
but it didn't all go according to plan.
in the beginning we decided to keep our old vanity.
during the demo processes this weekend we ended up taking it out.
we decided it was the right decision. we would be happier in the long run.
then we set out to find a new vanity.
48" vanities are not cheap.
we are cheap.
in the end we we got some stock cabinets from home depot for 20% off.
we told ourselves this was a great buy.
it would work just fine.
we finally got them up in the bathroom tonight.
they were MASSIVE.
our bathroom is not big.
the cabinets were HUGE!
you wouldn't think that two inches would make that big of a difference...
but it did.
so guess what we did.
that's right, the new huge cabinets were relocated to the garage
and the old, beat up, cut up vanity was put back upstairs.
i now have lots of work ahead as i have to make the old look new.
we made the right decision in the end
and i have a new small cabinet for my laundry room storage!
it really could have been a tv show. really.
